A question for those of you on Midnight Whispers...

I don't know about you, but when posting a count-specific fic (drabbles, etc.) to both LJ and Midnight Whispers, I'm finding that the word count differs from my word processing program to Midnight Whispers... it seems it has a ±4 margin of error (approximately) and I have to lengthen/shorten my fic as appropriate! Why do you suppose that is?

That is a good question. I just checked one of my stories there and it had a difference of 23 words. Strange.
